How ClearCorrect and Invisalign Work

ClearCorrect and Invisalign are both orthodontic treatments that use clear plastic aligners to gradually straighten teeth. The clear plastic aligners are nearly invisible and offer lots of benefits you won’t find with metal braces. Not only is the treatment discreet and unnoticeable, but the aligners are removable. Removable aligners allow you to brush, floss, and eat just like you would without braces.

The treatment consists of wearing clear plastic aligners 22 hours per day for two weeks at a time and then switching to the next set of aligners. Each set of aligners is slightly different to gradually move teeth into their ideal position. Within six months to two years, you will complete your treatment.

If you’re a good candidate for ClearCorrect or Invisalign, Dr. Luu will create your aligners by taking impressions and x-rays of your teeth. Using a computer, he will map out your treatment plan and send all the materials to the ClearCorrect or Invisalign dental lab. The lab then creates each set of your aligners for your treatment. Once you receive your aligners, put them in, and start your treatment!

We will require you to visit our office for a checkup about every six weeks to monitor your progress. Some patients may require additional aligners towards the end of their treatment to achieve their desired results.

The Difference Between ClearCorrect and Invisalign

So what’s the difference between ClearCorrect and Invisalign? Not much. ClearCorrect is an American company that uses a thinner type of plastic than Invisalign which some might argue as less durable. ClearCorrect might also cost less than Invisalign depending on your needs. Dr. Luu will help you decide which treatment is best for you and your needs during your consultation.
